This is the text displayed in the invitation to the exhibition "Ilusiones en Óxido (Illusions in Oxide)" to be held by Ricardo Moraga at the Centro de Arte Tomas y Valiente (CEART) in Fuenlabrada, Madrid.

Ricardo is a poet. The subtlety with which he spreads the paint on the canvas speaks of the overwhelming warmth of his way of understanding life. He is able to portray illusory reality sketches, and to set them against the hardness of the most corroded metal oxide. The joy and nostalgia come together in works of great sensitivity.

The creator is fueled by a hyperrealism far from its usual crudeness. Difficult juxtaposition, using pieces of reality and provide them with a delicacy that turns almost violent when we look at his strongest oxides.
 
Moraga is a magician, an illusionist. He shows a hopeful reality in an environment of corrosive acid. Traces of life in his sheets are dematerialized when observing the damage caused by the passage of time in his rusty surfaces.

"We are infinite secrets, in the path of
time that doesn't stop.
We are textures in the sun, changing and
absolute, eloquent marks 
of having been there.
I'm turning back to go forward.
The imminent oxide my hands
drops the light on my footsteps "
